Pennsylvania hosts programs and events that bring people together around beef. Through education, partnerships, and outreach, we support producers and help consumers learn more about beef’s role in nutrition, sustainability and everyday meals.

PA Beef to PA Schools
The PA Beef to PA Schools program works to connect schools and their food service professionals to cattle producers in order to 'Beef-up' their school lunches.
Beefing Up Backpacks
Beefing Up Backpacks is on a mission to provide high-quality protein to children in need by adding a nutritious 1-ounce Beef Stick to every backpack distributed through Pennsylvania’s weekend food programs.
Beef and Veal in the Classroom
Beef and Veal in the Culinary Classroom is a grant program funded by beef farmers and ranchers through the Beef Checkoff Program. The goal of this grant program is to enable an ‘above and beyond’ in-class educational opportunity to assist with enhancement of student knowledge of beef cutting, cookery, nutrition and safety.

Featuring 73 unique stops across Pennsylvania, this year’s trail celebrates the incredible diversity of beef dishes served in restaurants from every corner of the state, showcasing everything from beloved small-town staples to chef-driven culinary experiences.
PA Beef Quality Assurance
Learn more about the program designed to give producers the opportunity to be trained in best management practices to ensure proper animal care on the farm to provide a safe, wholesome, quality beef product for the end consumer to enjoy!
