Beef & Veal in the Classroom
The Pennsylvania Beef Council is excited to once again offer an assortment of high quality, easy to use educational materials at no cost to you or your school! The Beef & Veal in the Classroom program provides financial support for the use of beef and veal products in junior and senior high school Family and Consumer Science courses. It reinforces lessons about lean beef and veal selection, storage, preparation and nutrition. Learn more below.

The U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance® and Discovery Education have partnered on an exciting new initiative to engage urban youth with a first-hand glimpse into modern agriculture. Using the award-winning documentary, "FARMLAND, a film by James Moll," as a foundation, this new initiative will inspire students using an innovative, multi-modal curriculum that brings to life critical issues impacting the agriculture industry, such as sustainability, the new science behind farming and entrepreneurship. "FARMLAND, a film by James Moll" is available for viewing in its entirety on Netflix.
Learn About Beef with AFBFA
The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture (AFBFA) has teamed up with the Beef Checkoff Program to offer engaging beef educational resources, including a FREE educational app for children.
The new "All About Beef" app features beef heritage and nutrition games from www.MyAmericanFarm.org, and is available on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.

Beef Book Bundles
Below, are lesson plans and materials to complement "The Chaney Twins'" ag educational children's books. The books, by five-year-old twin sisters Rianna and Sheridan Chaney, and edited by their mother Rebecca Long Chaney, highlight the twins' personal experiences in the beef/dairy industry.
The bundle includes all six books: "Little Star...Raising Our First Calf"; "Star Becomes a Mother"; "Mini Milk Maids on the Mooove"; "Cowgirl Up! Let's Go Ranching"; "Our Star Goes West" and "Farm Life…We Live It, We Love It."
